Capcom did something a little different to promote the upcoming Dead Rising 2, when they released a prologue - Dead Rising 2: Case Zero on Xbox Live Arcade.
And according to Gamer Bytes to move has been a success, with more than 300,000 copies shifted in a week, a number that is sure to rise over the next couple of weeks up until the release of Dead Rising 2.
Perhaps Dead Rising 2: Case Zero will start a trend, as it's surely a more lucrative road to travel than a demo for publishers. And as long as they dress it up enough so it doesn't feel like we're paying for a demo, I'm sure no one will complain.
