Call of Duty League to stream on Twitch

It looks like the former broadcast rights deal with YouTube has come to an end.

It looks like Activision Blizzard's Call of Duty League no longer has a broadcast rights deal with YouTube. As said in a recent Where to Watch blog post, it's been revealed that when the league returns this evening, it will be streaming on Twitch, for the first time since its creation.

Previously, the CDL did have a broadcast rights deal with YouTube, as did the Overwatch League, which meant that you could only watch the competitive scene via YouTube. However, with it now streaming on Twitch instead (and only Twitch for that matter, bar the CDL's actual website), we have to assume that the exclusive deal has wrapped up, begging the question if the OWL will follow suit when it returns in 2023.

Just because the CDL does have a new home doesn't mean that it won't be offering rewards for watching as it previously did. You can still link your Activision account with your Twitch account to earn a limited emblem, weapon charm, calling card, and helicopter skin to be used in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.

As for the schedule for the CDL's opening weekend, you can find that here.
