Borderlands 3 and more pulled from Epic's Mega Sale

Several games have chosen not to participate in the sale, which reduces all purchases over a certain amount.

Last week we reported that the Epic Games Store is hosting a Mega Sale right now, which not only incudes discounts, but for every game purchase over $14.99 USD, Epic is also giving an extra $10 off for players (£10 off for every £13.99 purchase, or €10 for every €14.99 purchase).

This has led to a number of names pulling out of the sale, including Paradox, removing pre-orders for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2. Klei Entertainment also did the same, pulling pre-orders for Oxygen Not Included.

"If a developer or publisher chooses to not participate in our sales, we will honor that decision," Epic said in a statement to Engadget. "Paradox Interactive and Klei Entertainment have chosen to not participate in the Epic Mega Sale and their titles (Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 and Oxygen Not Included, respectively) have been temporarily removed from sale. If players have purchased either during the period when the discount did apply at the time of check out, Epic will honor that price."

Borderlands 3 has also had pre-orders removed as well, with a 2K rep providing the following statement to Eurogamer:

"We are working closely with Epic and have temporarily removed Borderlands 3 from their storefront. We look forward to the game being back on the Epic Games store soon. Games bought during their Mega Sale will be honored at that price."

2K also clarifies that purchases made before the pre-orders were pulled will still be honoured.

What do you make of these pre-orders getting removed?
