Back in the 90's, when I was a teenager and Billy Corgan had hair, I used to listen to The Smashing Pumpkins almost every day. After the mediocre Zwan effort, an awful solo album, and the decent comeback album, my sentiments for Corgan and his Pumpkins aren't as strong as they used to be. Still it is nice to learn that he will be featured as a character in the upcoming Guitar Hero World Tour along with Today from Siamese Dream (1993).

A song pack with a brand new single from The Smashing Pumpkins called G.L.O.W. - the song pack will also include 1979 and The Everlasting Gaze - will be made available online post-launch. Somewhat weird choices for the "b-sides" in my opinion, eventhough 1979 is a classic track it's not exactly a rock track.

Well, this and the announcement that Swedish band Kent will have their track Vinternoll2 on Guitar Hero World Tour pretty much seals the deal for me. As if the deal wasn't sealed already...
