Battlegrounds in Everquest 2 soon

Everquest 2 is about to get a new expansion, Sentinel's Fate, and next Thursday the game is getting a couple of cross-server battlegrounds as well. While the community is split on the subject if the game actually needs these battlegrounds or if it will mess up the class balance in the five year old MMO, SOE gave us a couple of new screenshots of the first three battlegrounds to be introduced; Battlefield of Ganak, Smuggler's Den and Gears of Klak'Anon.

If you log in to Everquest 2 between February 16 and 18 you get a "Warrior of Chaos statue" for your home, which has me fingering the retail key for the game I picked up during Steam's holiday sale last year. Bad Petter! Bad!
