Anarchy Online turns ten

Time flies when you're having fun, doesn't it? Anarchy Online is turning 10 years old this month, having grown from a fledgling little MMO riddled with bugs to one of the classic science fiction games in the genre. To celebrate this feat, Funcom plans a big celebration later this month, kicking off on July 27 (which is the game's actual birthday).

The celebration will include everything from "an all new birthday raid to new vehicles, clothes, gear, action figures and pets" and a three-day long party (you can find the times for the party on the official website).

"I have so many fond memories from the years with Anarchy Online, and there are so many people to thank," game director Colin Cragg writes in the press release. "The span of time and the way our world has touched the lives of so many is something we will always cherish. The fact that the kids of couples who met in AO are now playing our game says it all."

Hang on, kids younger than 10 years old playing Anarchy Online while I never managed to wrap my head around the pretty complicated systems? Ok, Funcom. Challenge accepted!
