Alien Breed Evolution shown

It has long been known that Team 17 have been hard at work on a new version of their classic Amiga title Alien Breed. The game is being developed with Epic's Unreal Engine 3.0 and is aimed for release as a digital download on as of yet unannounced platforms.

Details are scarce at this point in time and limited to the very brief statements in the press release:

"Featuring an action packed, tense single player adventure and an absolute blast of a co-op game, Alien Breed Evolution helps raise the production bar on download-only titles and underlines Team17's re-energised momentum since deciding to become an independent publisher in the digital distribution era."

However, Team 17 assures us that more information as well as video footage is forthcoming. Check out the first three screens below.
