Alan Wake's live action prequel

Debuts on Xbox Live next week

Microsoft have announced a six part live action prequel series entitled Bright Falls that will serve as a lead up to the mystery that unfolds in Remedy's Alan Wake. Bright Falls has been directed by award winning short film director Philip Van and stars actors such as Tom Noonan (Damages) and Cooper Huckabee (True Blood).

Microsoft have the releases of these episodes planned out as follows for Europe:

"The first two episodes of "Bright Falls" will be available for viewing exclusively on Xbox Live April 30 before debuting at BrightFalls.com on May 4. New episodes will then be released on May 8 and May 14, leading up to the shocking conclusion with the final two episodes on May 18."

Quite why we get the final episodes after the game has been released is not clear at this point. Have a look at the trailer below...
