Here are the opening round match-ups for IEM Chengdu

The Counter-Strike 2 tournament takes place this April.
Ben Lyons Senior Editor 27 March 2024

The ESL has laid out the opening round match-ups for the upcoming Counter-Strike 2 tournament, Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu. The event is set to be held between April 8 and 14, and will see 16 attending teams fighting for a share of a $250,000 prize pool, direct qualification to IEM Cologne 2024, and a slate of points used to qualify for other future events in the season.

With that event coming up very quickly, the first matches that each team will play has been confirmed. Teams have been split into one of two groups that will be played out in a knockout bracket format. The three best teams from each group bracket will advance to a playoffs bracket to compete for the tournament victory.

As for how the group brackets have been arranged, you can see that in the image below. Will you be watching IEM Chengdu?
