Apex legends was leaked on Reddit a year ago

The map was posted online but never gathered momentum, and Respawn has revealed their relief that it never blew up as a leak.

When Apex Legends was revealed and launched on the very same day last month, a lot of people were really surprised by this move, but perhaps they shouldn't have been, as the writing was actually on the wall from a Reddit post last year.

A user called hitconic posted a leaked map from a battle royale game that was supposedly being created by Respawn Entertainment, but this never really gathered steam and people were negative about the whole thing, meaning it didn't get a whole lot of attention. Now though another user has found this old post and made a new Reddit thread to highlight the fact that we could have known all about this a year ago.

Jayfresh, Community Manager at Respawn, has also posted in the discussion and writes: "Haha I remember this! It was a relief to see folks blow it off and I was thinking, "well, he'll be able to say I was right when next year comes along"."

Do you pay attention to leaks like these?

Thanks, DualShockers.
