The Necromancer is finally available in Diablo III via the Rise of the Necromancer DLC, and we're already raising the dead with the new character expansion. We recorded two exclusive gameplay videos, with a 30+ character, showcasing two different builds.
The "tank" uses few creatures, is tough, and weakens enemies with curses. The "commander of the dead" is focused on creating massive armies of creatures, using abilities to reinforce their effectiveness.
