Rome: Total War for iPad gets a major update

Russian language added, larger unit sizes, and more.
Sam Bishop 1 June 2017

If you're a fan of Rome: Total War for iPad, letting you take on the strategy game on the move, you'll be interested to know that the game has been updated with a "major patch", taking the game to version 1.7.3, with Barbarian Invasion moving to 1.7.2.

The changes include the addition of an option to select a larger unit size than that recommended for the device, which may reduce performance, but still gives the option to prioritise unit size. There's also the option to run 3D battles at half-speed so players can have more time to think, as well as the addition of the Russian language and optimisation for the 5th generation iPad.

Does the game translate well onto the iPad?
