Torment: Tides of Numenera to last at least 25 hours

And as much as 80.
Sam Bishop 23 January 2017

When we previewed Torment: Tides of Numenera in London, we got the chance to speak with creative lead Colin McComb and senior writer Gavin Jurgens-Fyhrie, and considering the game has been in development for so long, we asked how much times fans can expect to get out of the game.

"It really depends on your play style," McComb responded. "If you're a [quick] player, then you're probably looking at about as little as 25 hours. If you're a completionist and you want to do everything, you're going to have to play the game multiple times, because you're not going to see all the content on the first playthrough, it's just impossible."

"It's mutually exclusive stuff," Jurgens-Fyhrie added, "and we're talking not just like you get a bag of coins or an item [...] there's characters that you can straight up kill, and then you lose their content later on in the game, and so there's a lot of choice and consequence there. It's a game full of replayability."

"So it could be basically as little as 25 hours, and as much as 80," McComb concluded, so it seems like you'll get your moneys worth if you take the time to explore all the nooks and crannies of Tides of Numenera. Will you blast through it quickly, or do you prefer to take your time with games like this?
