Sony has sold through 40 million PS4 consoles

Sony's newest console doesn't seem to slow down.

Yesterday we were told that Sony expected to have sold 60 million PlayStation 4 consoles by April, and today's announcement shows that they're well on their way to achieving that.

Sony has just told us that they've sold through (sold to consumers) more than 40 million PlayStation 4 units. They don't expect the numbers to slow down either, as Final Fantasy XV, Nioh, Ryu ga Gotoku 6, Gran Turismo Sport, Gravity Rush 2, The Last Guardian, Downwell, Jotun and Push Me Pull You (to name but a few) are set to drive sales further through the year.
