Cities: Skylines – Expanded Edition launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 28, 2026, bringing 25 buildable tiles, a map editor, 10 stated DLC expansions and content packs, and two graphics options for $49. Paradox Interactive and Tantalus Media announced the edition as optimized for Nintendo’s new hardware; the package details were also reported by Insider Gaming.

The Performance option targets 60 FPS with upscaling and adjusted quality settings, while the Quality option targets 30 FPS and prioritizes visual fidelity. Players can also use keyboard and mouse alongside controller input, and expand beyond the original nine-tile limit.

Building tools include precision placement, a distance indicator, updated snapping options, an Environmental Controls Panel for changing conditions such as rain and time of day, and a Quick Selection Tool. The map editor lets players create and customize landscapes before starting a city.

Existing owners of Cities: Skylines on the original Switch can claim a 70% loyalty discount, available from October 28, 2026, through April 28, 2027, according to Paradox’s announcement. Its listed contents name 11 items despite describing the included total as 10, so the individual DLC lineup is not repeated here.

Separate from the Switch 2 edition, Holiday Getaways, Mansions & Manors and Blueprint Beats Radio are due on PC, PlayStation and Xbox on October 28. They will be sold separately or together in the Estates & Escapes Bundle, priced at $12.99 / £10.99 / €12.99.
