Whatever the NX console is, be sure it'll sooner or later get a new Splatoon game, as Nintendo's fresh multiplayer shooter is achieving numbers only Mario Kart and Smash Bros top on the console. After announcing that the game had shipped 4.06 million copies worldwide in 2015, Nintendo confirmed today that Splatoon is a 'million seller' in Europe alone. The new figure raises the sell-through number up to more than 3.5 millon units sold, and further confirms the game still has some important 'legs' in the market in the long run.

Splatoon success is based in both its fresh gameplay proposal and the free content update program implemented by Nintendo, as periodically users get to take part (by voting or entering 'festivals') and the game keeps changing and the community is kept alive and happy.
