5 Lives Studios has just updated their Early Access game Satellite Reign and thus they've doubled the size of the base game. A new Industrial District has been added, along with new factions (Uzy Korp and The Eternals), an improved UI, a new civilian systems (more people in the world), plus new tactical features, and a variety of optimizations.

There's also new screens and a new trailer (or Diorama Video, as it's called, which you can see below along with new screens).

Gamereactor talked to 5 Lives' Mike Diskett in last year, and he described the game as a "spiritual successor to Syndicate Wars".

"We will keep fixing bugs and updating the build until we reach that glorious point of Satellite Reign 1.0 where we will exit early access and ascend into a state of nirvana," Diskett told us in Decemeber. "At that point we might even start looking at co-op and multiplayer, maybe even an interior for that one guy on the internet."
