Japan goes wild for PS3 Slim

Best week ever for Playstation 3
Bengt Lemne 8 September 2009

Reports from Japanese Enterbrain reveal that the new Playstation 3 model sold in excess of 150000 copies during its first week on sale in Japan. That can be compared to launch week when Playstation 3 did a mere 88000 copies (with severe shortages). Lately Playstation 3 has been limping with weekly sales below the 10000 mark so the surge in sales is more than welcome news for Sony. Reports from the United Kingdom also suggest a major increase in PS3 sales although no actual figures have been released.
