We were joined by Kylotonn Games creative director Diego Sartori and discovered more about the work that's going into WRC5.

"Our main vision has been to bring home what it feels to be a rally driver. I think we've succeeded."

"Surely next-gen and on PC today you've got to have the visuals to match, and I think we do. Physics; doing rally cars with the four-wheel drive, it's a challenge, and it's different than a racing game. For a rally game you've got to learn how to lean on the four-wheel drive and actually use it to your advantage. We wanted to make sure that it did..."

"If you've ever seen the on-board shot of a rally driver from the side, so you can see his feet and his hands, it's insanely busy. The gas break gas break, a little bit of handbrake to upset the dynamic or the attitude of the car, constant steering inputs. Everything is working all the time, it's very rare that they're just driving."

"And we wanted to get that same dynamic, so when you're driving with a wheel or with a joypad, you've gotta work the car, upset the attitude with the brake and with the gas, and it works. But I think that's very different from what has been done before."

WRC 5 is due out on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in October.

"Behind the wheel and in the middle of the forest, it's as exciting and challenging as a great rally game should be."
