Watch some gameplay from Sonic in Lego Dimensions

Wave 7 of Lego Dimensions has just been released, and as well as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Gremlins and E.T., another franchise has also been thrown into the game: Sonic the Hedgehog. We've captured some gameplay which we've included below to show you what Sega's blue mascot looks like in the world of Lego.

While the design of the level pack is excellent, with all things faithfully created in Lego, even down to the little crabs and the verdant colours of Green Hill Zone, we found that the gameplay was a bit hit and miss, and sometimes Sonic made for fiddly maneuvering, especially when the levels mixed 2D platforming with 3D.
