Team Infused is currently the best team on the European pro scene. As if their 13-3 record and ten game win streak in the CWL wasn't enough to prove that, they also won this weekend's EGL Open in London with a dominating performance. In fact, the team didn't lose a single map during the group stages, and only dropped three maps across four best-of-5 games in the playoffs.
Their opponent in the finals, Team Epsilon, got off to a great starting by winning the first two games, Hardpoint on Evac and Search & Destroy on Fringe. While Epsilon was clearly the stronger team in those games, Infused fought back hard and crushed their oppponents in the third game, Uplink on Breach. Superior performances on the final two games, Capture the Flag on Stronghold and Search & Destroy on Infection, clinched the title for Infused.
The only other team to take a map off Infused was the Swedish Challenger team Orbit, who faced Infused in the first round of the playoffs.
Team Infused walks away with a total of $10,000, while each player also gets 2,500 CWL points.
