Christian Gaca 4 July 2014

There are rumours that developers over at Crytek UK are not working and are staying at home until they receive their pay. Kotaku reports that most of Crytek UK's staff aren't going to work and that the employees having handed in formal grievance complaints over unpaid salaries.

Gamereactor spoke to another insider from the studio who confirmed that there are workers at Crytek UK who have not been paid at all for six weeks.

Speaking under conditions of anonymity, another insider quoted by Kotaku said about 100 staff have walked, although it's not clear how many of them are gone for good and how many are hoping to come back when the situation is resolved.

Also Crytek UK staff are passing around a rumour that Deep Silver may buy the team outright and continue to fund development of Homefront: The Revolution.

Neither Crytek nor Deep Silver are yet to issue any statement on the rumours of late pay, lay-offs, rebellious staff and a possible buy out.
