Earlier this year a tipster made the bold claim that L.A. Noire was being remastered for Nintendo Switch. The old phrase "there's no smoke without fire" comes to mind in this case, especially when you consider the latest round of rumours.
Now, ComicBook has published a report that claims three sources close to the project have confirmed its existence. First, though, the site references a second tipster from earlier this year who suggested a late-summer release on PS4, Xbox One and the aforementioned Nintendo Switch.
However, the site also points to some post-E3 claims from people "related to Rockstar" that also suggest that a remaster is on the way. According to their sources, the updated version might have a VR mode for PlayStation 4, which certainly would be a good fit for the interogation scenes.
On top of that, a cross-platform first-person mode similar to the one added by Rockstar when Grand Theft Auto V made the jump from old to current-gen consoles, has also been mentioned.
A pinch of salt is most definitely required at this stage, though, as we've heard nothing official from Take-Two or Rockstar (the studio that made the game, Team Bondi, no longer exists), and E3 would have been the ideal platform to announce a project like this, if it indeed exists. For now, at least, we'll just have to wait and see.
