As Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen became a huge success for Switch, it's now time for two more classics to be brought back.

Pokémon never ceases to be universally loved, and even though the games had clearly aged, the Switch re-releases of the 2004 Game Boy Advance titles Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen became very popular, and many predicted that more games would receive the same treatment.

And sure enough, that seems to be the case, at least if a fairly well-known insider turns out to have accurate information. Specifically, we're talking about Shpeshal_Nick, who has historically had a somewhat mixed track record but has still managed to get things right every now and then, particularly when it comes to Nintendo. He now claims via X that the 2002 Game Boy Advance titles Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire, as well as Emerald, will be resurrected for the Switch, as early as late September or October.

These games received a Nintendo 3DS remake in 2014 called Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, but this isn't about those new versions, but rather the 24-year-old original games.

Given that the release is just over a month away, we'll likely get more information soon if the rumour turns out to be true.
