Yesterday the first wave of rumours surrounding the next entry in the Assassin's Creed series appeared online, highlighting the potential setting of the yet-to-be-announced game. According to Comicbook's unspecified "sources close to Ubisoft", our next historical adventure might well be set in Ancient Greece.

Prior to the official announcement of Assassin's Creed Origins at last year's E3, a Greek setting was one of those mentioned in a couple of early reports, but eventually, that turned out to be wrong. If Comicbook can be trusted, those details might actually be more relevant to the next entry in the franchise, which has allegedly been in the works since last year.

Apparently, the next Assassin's Creed game is set to release in 2019 during the autumn, and the word on the street is that it will be heading to PS4, Xbox One and PC (although you don't need a crystal ball to predict that). Take all of this with a pinch of salt for now, and if you want more speculation about where the series might head next, head here.
