With the premiere of NHL just a few days away, EA has once again tried to predict who will win this seasons Stanley Cup with the help of NHL 17 simulations. As it turns out, it will be Nashville Predators who will conquer the trophy next year after beating Montreal Canadiens in the finals.

That won't be the only trophy Predators wins, since the Swedish hockey player Filip Forsberg also get the Conn Smythe Trophy (most valuable player for his team in the playoffs) after scoring 26 postseason points. Elsewhere it seems Edmonton's highly touted talent Connor McDavid will score the most points in the regular season, which apparently also scored him the Hart trophy for league MVP. Montreal's Carey Price is the game's pick for the Vezina trophy (best goalkeeper) and we suspect he played a big part in getting the Canadiens to the finals.

A final between the Predators and the Canadiens would be interesting as it would pit former Habs star P.K. Subban against his former team mates.

Here is the list of all end-season awards:

• Presidents' Trophy: Nashville Predators
• Conn Smythe Trophy: Filip Forsberg (NSH)
• Hart Memorial Trophy: Connor McDavid (EDM)
• Art Ross Trophy: Connor McDavid (EDM)
• James Norris Memorial Trophy: Brent Burns (SJS)
• Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy: Vladimir Tarasenko (STL)
• Vezina Trophy: Carey Price (MTL)
• William M. Jennings Trophy: Martin Jones (SJS)
• Frank J. Selke Trophy: Anze Kopitar (LA)
• Lady Byng Memorial Trophy: Nicklas Backstrom (WAS)
• Calder Memorial Trophy: Auston Matthews (TOR)
• Ted Lindsay Award: Connor McDavid (EDM)

It's worth noticing that unlike the Madden series that almost shockingly often get these kind of predictions right, the NHL series has fared far worse in the past. The last three years have all been misses, but do you think they'll get it right this time?

"NHL 17 is a good hockey game and it builds on last year's already stable edition."
