Ubisoft releases documentary on Far Cry Primal development

The work that went into "Bringing the Stone Age to Life".
Sammy Cooper 20 February 2016

Ubisoft today released a short documentary video, giving viewers an insight into how they moulded the world, and gave life to the idea of a stone-age Far Cry game. The video talks about how they tried to create a whole new language, Wenja, and how it reflects the way the game world was structured.

It goes into how essential Wenja, which is based on the Proto-Indo-European language, gives the game the level of authenticity and realism that the team was trying to get across. They consulted a number of different sources including historians, anthropologists and linguistics in order to get the game world to feel authentic down to the very last detail.

You can check out the video below. Far Cry Primal releases 23 February for the PS4 and Xbox One, and 1 March on PC.
