New Total War: Warhammer trailer invades virtual reality

You can still watch the 2D version if you're living in the dark ages.

The next Total War is almost upon us (it's here tomorrow, in fact), when CA's historically-themed strategy series merges with Games Workshop's tabletop for Total War: Warhammer. We liked it, a lot, as you can read over in our review.

But before you click through to find out why the fusion of these two illustrious IPs works so well, why not check out the new Join the Battle trailer that Sega just sent over. Below you can see the more traditional 2D trailer, but if you want view the 360° version then head this way and follow these instructions:

1) Click and drag your view of the battlefield on desktop (Chrome, Opera, Firefox, or Internet Explorer).
2) Use the YouTube or Facebook app on your mobile as a virtual window, and pan your view around (note that this is currently the only way to experience the 360 functionality on your mobile).
3) Select VR view from the Youtube App and drop your phone into Google Cardboard.
