THQ Digital have revealed an arcade "companion product" to THQ's upcoming Red Faction: Armageddon. Red Faction: Battlegrounds has yet to have its pricing and release date revealed, but already it's been confirmed by the studio's creative director Don Whiteford that the game will feature top-down, four-way co-op, vehicle-based gameplay.
Also revealed was the ability for players to earn achievements in {Red Factio}: Battlegrounds} that would then unlock items in {Red Faction: Armageddon}. THQ Digital previously worked on sparkly racer {Juiced}. {Red Faction: Battlegrounds}, meanwhile, will be downloadable on both PSN and XBLA later this year.
