New Red Faction revealed...

THQ Digital have revealed an arcade "companion product" to THQ's upcoming Red Faction: Armageddon. Red Faction: Battlegrounds has yet to have its pricing and release date revealed, but already it's been confirmed by the studio's creative director Don Whiteford that the game will feature top-down, four-way co-op, vehicle-based gameplay.

Also revealed was the ability for players to earn achievements in Red Factio: Battlegrounds that would then unlock items in Red Faction: Armageddon. THQ Digital previously worked on sparkly racer Juiced. Red Faction: Battlegrounds, meanwhile, will be downloadable on both PSN and XBLA later this year.
