While there was several games announced and showcased in some capacity during Nintendo Direct, the company saved a big section of the show for Fire Emblem Fates, the next instalment in the famous strategy/RPG series, which once again is heading exclusively for Nintendo 3DS next year.
Players can buy the two main games, Fire Emblem Fates: Legacy and Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest, both in stores and on Nintendo eShop. By purchasing one of the two games, the digital version of the other one will be available at a reduced price through an in-game purchase. There will also be a third downloadable version of the story, Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation, which reveals some secrets that'll change your understanding of the plot and the other two parties.
For fans of the series it will also be available as a special edition that includes all three games plus an art book. No announcement was made in regards to a definitive release date for the game.
