It's been quite a while since we last heard news regarding the upcoming God of War game, but now Cory Barlog, Game Director of God of War 2 and the new game launching for PS4, has shared some insights to the game's Norse Setting, revealing on Twitter that the latest instalment of the franchise will take place long before the appearence of the first Vikings, despite featuring a nordic setting.

In another post Barlog also says: "I like everything to serve the vision/story/world. I don't see GOW as gore for the sake of gore. It just takes place in a very violent time."

We expect more information about God of War at this year's E3 conference. What directions do you want to see the game go in?
