Max Payne gets comic treatment

Rockstar + Marvel + Remedy = win?
Bengt Lemne 18 April 2012

Rockstar and Marvel have announced plans to bring out a series of comic books based on Max Payne. The writing credits are shared between Rockstar's Dan Houser and Remedy's Sam Lake, while Greg Horn creates the cover art and Fernando Blanco (best known for Marvel Zombies, but also credited for work on X-men and Hulk) inks it.

The comics will focus on events leading up to Max Payne 3 including the two previous games, but also previously untold events from Payne's past.

The digital comic will be released for free in three parts and the first issue "After the Fall" is due out in the next few weeks through Rockstar Newswire, the official Max Payne 3 website, and various digital comic outlets.
