Marvel's Wolverine will have New Game+ from day one

We won't need to wait months after the game's launch for the feature to be added.

As a linear, level-based game without an open-world to explore or side content to complete, Marvel's Wolverine is still hoping to offer players plenty of replayability, as Insomniac Games is stuffing the game with things you can miss on your first time around, and adding a feature to make future runs more interesting.

Unlike Marvel's Spider-Man and its sequel, which had players waiting months until they could dive into a new campaign with their pre-collected suits via New Game+, Marvel's Wolverine will offer the feature from day one. "In New Game Plus, you can use all of your loadout and progression that you already unlocked. You can choose whatever suit you want. So there's some fun things that happen there. And also there's some adaptations that are only available in New Game Plus. So there's some fresh gameplay for folks," said Jess Reiner-Reed in an interview with IGN.

Reiner-Reed also explained that there are ways for players to step off the main path in a mission. Nightmare Doors offer unique challenges to be completed, whiskey bottles give you ways of upgrading Logan, and you can also find the raw materials to make new suits in missions. Quite akin to how levels offered various unlockables in Square Enix's Guardians of the Galaxy game.

Marvel's Wolverine releases on PS5 on the 15th of September.
