Invincible VS will come with a story mode from the team behind the animated series

We'll have to fight our way out of an episode that sees Mark pushed to his utmost limits.

Coming fresh off the heels of the show's highly celebrated fourth season, Invincible VS is going to give us a new story in the Invincible universe, and even if it won't exactly let us play through the episodes of the show as we might have liked, we'll be getting something brand-new, from the team behind the show.

Invincible has played around with multiple universes before, so we'd expect we'll be playing through one of them. In the trailer below, we see pretty much all of our main cast coming together to throw the smackdown on some Viltrumites, who as usual want to ruin everyone's good time.

We've seen story modes in a lot of fighting games in the past. Mortal Kombat is famous for its action-movie styled chapter stories, and it seems Invincible VS could be following in the same vein. Players who don't want to spend endless hours battling in multiplayer will be thankful for another single-player mode, and let's just hope the story's a good one.

Invincible VS releases on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC on the 30th of April.
