Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings

Here's how Atelier Lydie & Suelle look on the Switch

It's the series' debut on Nintendo's console, and it'll also release on PS4, Vita and PC.

The long-running JRPG Atelier series is about to get its very first main entry launched on a Nintendo home console after two decades of PlayStation exclusivity (plus the occasional spin-off on Nintendo handhelds). Take some breath, as the lengthy title Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings launches on PS4, PS Vita and Nintendo Switch in less than a month in Japan, before then being adapted and released on March 27 in Europe, switching Vita for a PC Steam version.

Given the proximity of the Japanese release, publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Gust have just shared the very first gameplay of the game running on the Switch, which looks pretty similar to recent PS4 entries. You can watch the footage below, along with our recent interview with Keisuke Kikuchi and Junzo Hosoi:
