Tonight at midnight, Google will unveil its new Pixel 11 smartphone, which, as usual, will be released in several models, including Pro and XL versions. Among other things, we can look forward to upgraded cameras and a significant performance boost thanks to the Google Tensor 6, which is said to be 50% faster than its predecessor, as well as 12 gigabytes of RAM as standard.
Better performance is to be expected, and this extends to the cameras as well, which now feature what Google calls 30x Super Zoom, complete with features to reduce screen shake when zoomed in to the maximum, as well as Pro Stable Video for video recording. In addition, there's now a feature called 120x Pro Zoom, which is powered by generative AI. There are plenty of AI features for photos that are easily accessible right in the camera app, but there's also an updated Creators Suite with new tools.
On top of that, there are other new AI features, such as the ability to translate both text and speech in real-time so you can watch videos in your own language. Furthermore, AI can help add context to information from people who, for example, want to book a restaurant or ask if a flight is on time.
Other new features include HiLight, which adds RGB functionality to the flashlight so you can make it glow in selected colours when different people call, and much more. If you'd like to check out the presentation tonight at midnight (23:00 BST on August 12/00:00 CEST on August 13), you can do so via this link.
