God of War celebrates one year with offering to fans

Dynamic theme available now, and you don't need to own the game to join in the birthday celebrations either.

Sony launched God of War last year to universal acclaim, with the game going on to rival Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2 for last year's GOTY awards. With the godly action-adventure nearing its first birthday since release, Santa Monica Studio and Sony are celebrating the occasion with some free goodies, and with the thank you message that you can see in the trailer below.

As well as the video message included and a note from studio head Shannon Studstill on the PS Blog, there's also a new and totally unexclusive dynamic theme that anyone and everyone can download right now (it features Kratos and Atreus chilling on the Lake of Nine), and on April 17, we'll all be able to download the God of War Anniversary character PS4 avatar set.
