Ghosts hold off Lego Marvel

Call of Duty: Ghosts was able to maintain its position at the top of the UK multi-format sales chart this week, holding off the advances of Lego Marvel Super Heroes, which debuted in second.

Despite a 76 per cent dip in sales, Ghosts was still able to hold first for a second consecutive week. Lego Marvel Super Heroes wasn't able to displace the latest CoD title, despite it being the second biggest week one release of a Lego title (the biggest being Lego Indiana Jones: Original Adventures back in 2008).

FIFA 14 and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag did a little swap over in the top five, and last week's second placed game - Battlefield 4 - dropped down to fifth. Grand Theft Auto V, now down to sixth, drops out of the top five for the first time.

Two Professor Layton titles feature in the top twenty thanks to retailer bundling, and outside of the chart Ratchet & Clank: Nexus debuted in No21, while Xcom: Enemy Within landed at No25.
