Fumito Ueda coming to GDC

What's next for ICO creator?
Bengt Lemne 23 February 2009

It has been revealed that Fumito Ueda, senior game designer at Sony Japan Studios, and the creator of classics ICO and Shadow of the Colossus will be speaking at the upcoming Game Developer's Conference in San Francisco next week. This news raises hopes that we are about to hear the first details on his Playstation 3 project, but given that he is participating in a panel debate with Goichi Suda (No More Heroes), Emil Pagliarulo (Fallout 3), and Mark McDonald (localisation manager at 8-4 Ltd), it is perhaps not to be expected he will reveal too much. The headline of the session is "Evolving Game Design: Today and Tomorrow, East and West Game Design", which does hint that he might have something to say about what he is currently working on.
