Final Fantasy VII: Remake was probably the most crowd-pleasing game to appear during the PlayStation Experience last Saturday, mostly because of the new trailer showing the first gameplay of the Remake.

Now a new piece of information has surfaced, this time from an official press release from Square Enix.

According to the document, Final Fantasy VII: Remake will be "told across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience."

No more details where revealed so far, but it certainly sounds like the Remake will follow a episodic structure.

Perhaps Square Enix was impressed by Life is Strange's success and decided to apply the structure to Final Fantasy? We're not sure if this will be the best formula for a massive RPG like Final Fantasy VII: Remake, so we'll have to see how this one plays out.
