A new Japanese trailer has been released for the upcoming remake of Final Fantasy VII, and as reported by Kotaku, the seven-minute video below is the longest commercial ever to air on Japanese television, having been broadcast over the weekend during a 27-hour block hosted by Beat Takeshi (thanks, GameSpark).

You can watch the full thing down below, including a longer 13-minute cut, and it's a live-action commercial featuring actors like Masataka Kubota, Misato Morita, and Tetsuji Tamayama. Kubota is someone who has never played the game before, and the video follows his journey to eventually get a PS4 and play the remake.

For more on the game be sure to check out our preview from E3, and remember that we also got a look at the Materia System earlier this year too.

Is this a strong advert?
