The Elder Scrolls Online just got an update called Homestead on PC and Mac, and what this means is that now players can buy and decorate their own home.

There are 39 options for different homes in total and they can be bought either with in-game currency or by using real money. After purchasing the house, the decorating begins with over 2000 options of objects. Players can also produce their own furniture, if they're willing to put in the effort.

Here are the central features highlighted on the announcement:

39 homes, available for purchase with gold or crowns
Robust Housing Editor tools
Over 2,000 unique home furnishings and decorations available for purchase with crowns, gold, or created with Furnishing Crafting
Home previewing
Specialty furnishings
Customisable home permissions for guildmates and friends
Housing achievements with four prestigious new titles
Furnishing Crafting
Master Crafting Writs
Four new Crafting Motifs: Ebony, Mazzatun, Ra Gada, Silken Ring
Cyrodiil vendor changes and improvements
Improved rewards for Cyrodiil town quests
Dungeon ready check added to the Dungeon Finder
Champion Point cap increase from 561 to 600
Razer Chroma support for PC

This Homestead update should come to PS4 and Xbox One in the near future, but if you're really interested in the nitty gritty details of the update head over to the patch notes. What would your ideal ESO house contain?
