Charts: UK weekly

Nintendo are steaming ahead in the UK dominating the latest weekly chart with 13 Wii titles and 10 DS titles out of the top 40. Wii Fit is leading the way in individual unit sales, while The Force Unleashed maintains the number one spot if you bunch the sales of all the versions together. Best new entry is Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway with 5th and 8th on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 respectively. It is surprising to see the PS3 edition of Pure far down the chart along with other new entries Sonic Chronicles and Civilization IV: Colonization. Halo 3 re-enters the chart on the back of the recent Xbox 360 price reduction. There are 8 Xbox 360 titles in top-40, while PS3 sports 5 spots, and PC managing 4 spots and PS2 getting a single one.

Microsoft sent out a press releasing boasting the increase in sales they have seen in the United Kingdom since the price reduction:

"New figures announced today by ChartTrack saw sales of the Microsoft Xbox 360 increase by 214% in the last two weeks, outselling Sony's PlayStation 3 by more than two-to-one and reaffirming its strong momentum in Europe in the wake of its recent reduction in estimated retail price (ERP)."
