The annual Blizzard fanfest and expo BlizzCon has been announced for 2009. It will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in California between on August 21 and 22. Apart from Diablo III and Starcraft II it is entirely possible and perhaps even likely that we will see the next expansion of World of Warcraft in Anaheim, but here is an easy bullet point list of what we can expect:
• Hands-on play time with upcoming Blizzard Entertainment games
• Discussion panels with Blizzard Entertainment developers
• Competitive and casual tournaments for players to showcase their talents
• Community contests with great prizes
• Commemorative merchandise based on Blizzard Entertainment's game universes
• A silent auction
• More exciting activities and attractions to be announced
