Co-op zombie horror No More Room in Hell 2 did not get off to the best of starts. The game's performance struggled, and the extraction loop seemed unfinished when it first released in early access nearly two years ago. Since then, Torn Banner Studios has refused to give up on the game, and today, it's in a much better state.
After averaging around 100 players on Steam for a large chunk of its time in Early Access, No More Room in Hell 2 hit a new concurrent player peak of 15,027 earlier this week (as per SteamDB), and is hitting consistent daily peaks above 10,000 players on Steam. Just one week after launching into 1.0, the game has crossed a million players, doubling its total player base.
As the developers noted in a new blog post on Steam, they're not done yet with No More Room in Hell 2. Multiple updates are planned to release this year, two of which are arriving this autumn. Plans are already in place for more updates into 2027, too.
More gameplay variety, fixes on the existing experience, and more are on their way. No Man's Sky and Cyberpunk 2077 might want to make room, as it seems there's another big gaming comeback making waves right now.
