The Kinetic Publishing Showcase has come to a close, with this being the first time the new publishing label from Kinetic Games, the maker of Phasmophobia, has hosted such an event. The new publisher will be looking to spotlight and distribute indie and AA titles from all around the world, and this broadcast has given us a look at five of them.
One such example comes from developer Vonder Games, with this being the magical cosy life sim experience dubbed Aether Wizard Life. Essentially, this game sees players suiting up a young wizard who is looking to make their way in the haunted town of Starfall. The day-to-day business will span choosing which tasks to undertake, all while tending magical crops, caring for fantastical creatures, exploring dungeons and battling the monsters they conceal, and all while chatting with townsfolk and helping them solve their problems.
We're told Aether Wizard Life will allow players to customise their character and their walking castle home too, while the option is present to learn magical abilities from a variety of unique schools, as is the chance to romance one of 20 dateable NPCs.
As for the launch timeline for Aether Wizard Life, we're told the aim is to bring the project to PC via Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch 2 all sometime in autumn 2028. So stay tuned for more, but perhaps don't yet start holding your breath as launch is at least two years away.
