Square Enix has released Final Fantasy III onto Apple's iPhone. To be clear, this is neither the original Western release in the 90s that carried the name (that was actually Final Fantasy VI renumbered over here), nor the original version of the game, but a port of the Nintendo DS remake.
With us? Good. The game's currently only available on the Japanese version of the store, but its sure to make the trip to this side of the world soon enough. In the meantime you can watch the launch trailer and see some gameplay footage here.
UPDATE: Told you so. the game's now on the UK App Store.
