The Swedish Games Industry have released a list with last year's top sellers. No big surprise as World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King took first place ahead of Mario Kart Wii. It is interesting to see three MMORPG's and three music games in the top ten and with GTA IV being the only "HD console" game to make the list it is clear that the Swedish market favors casual games and PC games and Wii. There weren't that many new Swedish developed games released in 2008 and the best selling Swedish game was a classic - Battlefield 2 (originally released in the summer of 2005). Digital Illusions captured the top four Swedish developed spots and a total of seven out of the top ten spots.
