In an interview with British MCV 2K Games' Christoph Hartmann was quoted saying:

"Look at Star Wars. It's a fight between good and evil, just like BioShock. If we spin it the right way and get the right twist of innovation, we can make six parts of it, as Star Wars did."

With Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams and a feature film on the way, it seems we are just seeing the beginning of a Bioshock assault. But 2K needs to focus on making the first trilogy truly epic, before they can make crappy Bioshock games if they want to emulate Star Wars.
