Fortnite's Battle Royale map update is coming at 12:00 GMT

We also have the patch notes.

Today Fortnite's Battle Royale mode is due to undergo some big changes today, including a substantial reworking of the map, and now the official Fortnite Twitter account has revealed exactly when the server will be down for maintenance - 07:00 ET, which equates to 12:00 GMT.

At this time the servers will go down while the update is applied, meaning they'll be unavailable while updating, and we also have the full patch notes for what's included as well (even though most people already know that the map is the headline).

For instance, you can get a free 5 tier head start in Season 3 when you invest in the Season 2 Battle Pass, and you can also buy 10 Battle Pass tiers for the price of six via a special bundle in the in-game store as part of a limited-time offer. On top of this the winter event has been extended until January 24 too, and the pre-game lobby now supports voice chat.

Do you have high hopes for the new map?
